In other news, though, we have a potty trained little boy on our hands! I have been hesitant to say anything because I didn't want to jinx it, but it has been about a week now since Landon has worn a diaper during the day and it's been four nights since he wore one to bed. I think we have had two accidents the whole time. He had been tugging on his diaper a lot and using the potty somewhat regularly if I left him naked from the waist down, but he didn't seem quite ready to be completely diaper free. But then one day he was tugging on his diaper and came over to me with a request of "diaper off." I reminded him that he needed to use the potty if he didn't have a diaper on, and we haven't looked back since. I keep reminding myself that he may go back to diapers for a while once the baby is here, but I'm not sure if he actually will. He seems pretty content to be 100% in undies. I kind of feel like we never actually had to work really hard with him on it, just made it available to him and talked a lot about using the potty. He was just ready on his own and decided he was done with diapers. It's nice.
There is a lot more that has been going on, but mostly the good, mundane stuff. We are in waiting mode for the baby, and I spend part of every day wondering if this could be "the day." It has been driving me a little bit crazy, but I am doing my best to enjoy the last few days (please, not weeks!) of being a family of three. I have a LLL meeting tonight that I was certain I wouldn't be able to go to because I would have a new baby, but I am glad for the chance to get out of the house and focus on something else for a evening.
